Review the different layers of the sun by providing each child with two paper plates. On one plate, the student draws two concentric circles to represent the three inner layers of the sun: core, radiation zone, and convection zone. Next, she labels the layers and colors each one a different color. If desired, also have her write a fact about each layer in the corresponding section. Then she colors the front and back of the second plate a different color, labels it “photosphere,” and staples the two plates together.
